Mortgage Lenders

I wonder if these mortgage lenders who advertise all the time that they have really low rates are still making any money. It seems to me that a lot of people have been unable to pay their mortgages, and other people just cannot get a mortgage at this time. It seems to me that it would be a really hard business to keep up right now.
