Yawp Box

January 14th, 2008

YawpBox is a new and interesting site that I visited for the very first time today. The site is an entertainment site composed of user generated videos, and you know how crazy people’s videos can get!

I looked through many different categories, and something that intrigued me was the fact that in the television section, users have a chance at having their content ideas used on actual television shows, I think that would be grand to see one of my ideas actually played out on television!

Ordinary people videotaping extraordinary things can be really awesome, because it is as real life as you can get. Some of the videos that I watched were hilarious! You will have to check out the site to see why for yourself.

An added bonus on the site is the Lex and Terry challenge, which gives users a chance to video tape specific ideas with their own creative spin added to it. These projects can get really funny when users take the challenge the way that they see it, which is often not how others see the challenge.

YawpBox.com has entertainment for all kinds of people, visit the site and see what all the buzz is about, and start submitting your own videos as well, it will be a blast!

Television Sales

January 14th, 2008

Where are these awesome television sales that they are supposed to have in January?  I thought that since the Super Bowl was coming around they were supposed to have good deals on huge televisions, but so far I have not seen anything that is that great.  I want a new television and I have been waiting for awhile to buy one because it is supposed to be the best time, I do not believe it anymore.  Come on guys, give me a good deal!

New Family Guy Tonight

January 14th, 2008

I love new episodes of Family Guy, this show is always so funny. I also wanted to watch a couple of different things on TV tonight, the Katt Williams comedy thing on Comedy Central, and The Rock of Love 2 on VH1. I am happy to have new material to watch no matter what channel my television ends up landing on. I know that the Rock of Love will be on again a couple times this week and probably the Comedy Central thing too. Anyways, enjoy the new shows tonight!

Oscar The Grouch!

January 11th, 2008

I have never watched this 1 vs. 100 show before on NBC, but I will be tuning in tonight because from what I read Oscar The Grouch is going to ‘join the mob’ on this show (whatever that means?), but I love Oscar!  Sometimes I forget that these muppets and sesame street characters are just puppets because they do such a good job giving them their own personalities.  Tune in tonight on NBC to see Oscar The Grouch on 1 vs 100!

My Name Is Earl

January 11th, 2008

I watched the newest episode of My Name Is Earl last night, that show cracks me up all the time.  Why do shows keep trying to push Alyssa Milano on us though?  It sure is nice to start seeing new television shows again though, and this one always makes me laugh.  I love it when they do the “Hey Earl” “Hey Crabman” thing for some reason.  I imagine a few characters on this show being members of my family because some of my family acts just like them.  Anyways, if you like funny shows My Name Is Earl is a great one and it is on NBC.

Meh. Terminator.

January 11th, 2008

I do not know how I feel about FOX making this new Sarah Connor chronicles show.  Some of the previews for the show actually look kind of cool, but they are biting off of a good movie.  I do not understand why they had to model it directly from the Terminator movies, they could have just made a new show with similarities to the movie and not gave it that name.  I really do not see this show going very far because every time someone talks about it everyone rolls their eyes and grumbles about it.

New Shows!

January 10th, 2008

This week many of our favorite television shows are coming back with new episodes.  I am quite the television junkie so I am pretty excited about it.  Grey’s Anatomy is coming back with a new episode tonight, and Lost is coming into a new season on January 31st.  It is about time for some new material, I have been getting so bored!  Let us hope that our shows do not get cut off again, because that would make me a really sad panda.

Two and a Half Men

January 9th, 2008

The second season of Two and a Half men is available on DVD now, that show has always cracked me up.  I would like to own the seasons in my collection of DVDs because even when I watch the old episodes on a different channel they are still hilarious to me.  If you have never seen the show I highly recommend it because even my grandmother loves the show it is family friendly and yet still funny!

Flavor of Love

January 8th, 2008

I do not really understand why they keep having more and more of the Flavor of Love show, why doesn’t he ever end up with the one that he picks?  I liked both of the last girls that he chose, but what happened to them?  Same with I love New York, do the sparks just not fly off of the camera or does VH1 keep making them make the show?

Brisco County JR

October 26th, 2007

If you are over 25 you might remeber this show starring Bruce Cambell. I got the Boxset from Best Buy for a whopping $80 but it was well woprth it. Nostalgic reasons alone. I have made it through half of the show and i remember exactly why i love it. Bruce Cambell is the man and i will fight you if you say different.
