Bad Week

January 8th, 2008

The new DVD selection this week was pretty rough.  I like to get new movies that I have not seen before and the only one this week was like 3:10 to Yuma or something like that, I just know it was something I was totally uninterested in.  Next week looks a bit more promising as far as that goes, we will see!

Superbad

December 30th, 2007

I want to go buy the movie Superbad today, it was so funny when I watched in theaters that it is a must own DVD. The part with the drawings (I won’t go into spoiler type details) cracked me up so much, I actually like laugh cried. The DVD just came out on December 4th, so if you have not seen the movie yet, I suggest buying it or at the very least renting it. The movie is available on Amazon.com for download to your TiVo as well. I love being able to do that and cut out Blockbuster, because I hate that video store.

Chuck and Larry

November 10th, 2007

I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry came out on DVD this week, and of course I had to go purchase it, because I love Adam Sandler movies. I was not let down with this one, it is pretty funny. I love how in Happy Madison movies they use the same actors over and over again, because they are hilarious. I like the guy from King of Queens too, so this movie is really fun. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good comedy!

Finding Nemo

November 7th, 2007

Finding Nemo is a great kiddie movie. My 3 year old daughter loved it. Nemo is so cute him and his little deformed fin. Everywhere we go my daughter wants Nemo. She’s got the coloring books, toy’s, stuffed animals, everything. I made one big mistake though, I bought the movie and now I cant take it out of the DVD player, she won’t let me.

Premonition

November 7th, 2007

The movie Premonition was a pretty good movie I thought. This chick keeps having a vision that her husband dies well gets killed. And every time she has this vision it turns out different. I think she was having these visions that way she could find a way to save him. but she doesn’t which is what is dumb about this movie. The ending was stupid.

Sicko

November 6th, 2007

Michael Moore’s next installment of complaining comes to us in the form of Sicko which is available on DVD as of November 6, 2007. Michael Moore explores America’s health care system and how terrible it really is. I am not a huge fan of Michael Moore’s work because he tends to stretch the truth to fit whatever “documentary” he is filming at the time. If you liked his previous movies though, then go buy yourself Sicko.

Adventures Of Young Indiana Jones

October 30th, 2007

The fans of Lucas’ work have been waiting a long time for this set. Young Indiana Jones, and it is just in time to kick off the hype that is to come for the next Indiana Jones movie. I can not wait for the next Indiana Jones movie, I have been waiting for like forever for it, I have always been a huge fan of the Indiana Jones movies. Harrison Ford is getting a tad bit old though, so I am curious to see how it looks.

I Slit The Sheet

October 30th, 2007

I slit the sheet the sheet I slit and on the slitted sheet I sit. That came from the movie The Jerk which is a classic movie, I love it! I always end up watching it on DVD and I watch it again a week later, because I remember so many funny parts that I want to see again. Steve Martin has made some great movies in his lifetime, but this movie is by far my favorite one, it cracks me up! If you have never seen The Jerk, go buy it!

Saw IV

October 26th, 2007

Of course since it is a Saw movie, I will be watching Saw IV, but the question is what in the heck are they going to use for a plot?  I know the plot is not the most important thing in these types of movies, as long as they have good gore scenes, but with no one left to be the bad guy what will the plot be?  Like I said though, I will be watching it because I love these gore movies, the stuff that actually makes me cringe is neat-o!

Dan In Real Life

October 26th, 2007

I have loved everything that Steve Carell has done lately, and I’m sure this movie will be no exception.  His newest movie titled Dan In Real Life is about him being widowed, and looking to go back into the dating scene, but unfortunately the first girl he falls in love with happens to be his brother’s girlfriend.  I want to see this movie ASAP, but I hate going to the theaters on Friday nights, it is so packed, and then it is hard to find two seats together.
